COVID 19 & SCHOOL CLOSURES

We have made the decision to temporarily close the preschool from Monday 23rd March until further notice. This follows the Governments announcement that all schools and preschools will close, except for children of key workers and vulnerable children.

Yesterday we made every attempt to obtain some clarity on the process of caring for the children of those identified, along with the numbers affected at our setting. Although the guidance still remains unclear, we don’t believe we have any children who fall into the category of needing continued care.

The situation is changing rapidly and we understand the anxiety and frustration that exists for our families. If you believe you now are included in the updated key worker/vulnerable category, please contact Sharon and we will seek further advice. Full information can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/news/schools-colleges-and-early-years-settings-to-close.

We understand that this decision will have a big impact on your daily routine. We would like you to know that we are committed to the well-being and learning of your child. With this in mind, Sharon will share a weekly news letter, including information on topics and resources that can be use at home. We would love to know about any important milestones, or how much your child is enjoying the activities we have shared.

We truly hope we will be able to return to normality as soon as possible. We will keep you fully informed about any updates we might have, through our weekly news letter and on the ‘News and Events’ page of our website breretonpreschool.co.uk.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact us with any concerns.  We look forward to seeing you back at preschool as soon as possible.
